Who can vote?
You can vote in Coquitlam’s municipal election if you are:
- 18 or older on general voting day
- A Canadian citizen
- A resident of BC for at least 6 months before voting day
- A resident of Coquitlam OR a registered non-resident property owner in Coquitlam
- Not disqualified by the Local Government Act or any other law
What ID to bring
Bring two pieces of ID, at least one with your signature. Examples: driver’s licence, BC Services Card, BC ID, Canadian passport, credit/debit card, utility bill with address.

Mail-in ballots
