Parks Recreation & Active Living
An active community is a healthy community. I want Coquitlam to continue offering outstanding parks, trails, sports fields, and recreation facilities that are accessible, welcoming, and meet the needs of residents of all ages and abilities.
• Champion policies and investments that expand high-quality, accessible recreation opportunities for everyone.
• Continue building and enhancing recreation facilities while maintaining our parks, trails, sports fields, playgrounds, and public spaces.

• Invest in renewing and revitalizing existing parks so they remain safe, attractive, and enjoyable for generations to come.
• Support the delivery of new recreation facilities, including the Burke Mountain Community Centre, Fraser Mills Community Centre, and Burke Mountain Athletic Park.
• Expand our network of parks and trails including the planned Coquitlam Crunch extension to Mundy Park.
• Work with community organizations and partners to enhance recreation opportunities and maximize community benefit – including Planet Ice
• Continue exploring creative ways to expand access to tennis, pickleball, and other emerging recreational activities.
• Celebrate and support local sport through initiatives such as the Coquitlam Sports Hall of Fame.
